Privacy Policy
The short version
Fastbloom keeps your data on your iPhone. There is no account. We cannot see your fasts, your weight, your water, your notes or your name — we never receive them. The only things that leave your device are anonymous usage statistics (which you can switch off) and, if you buy Plus, Apple’s purchase receipt for checking your subscription.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter: fasts (start, end, goal, notes, mood), schedules, water and weight entries, settings. Stored in the app’s private container on your iPhone and, if you use the Apple Watch app, on your Watch. If you enable iCloud sync (Plus), this data is additionally stored in your own private iCloud database (CloudKit), which Apple encrypts and which we cannot access. Deleting the app deletes the local data; “Delete all my data” in Settings deletes local and iCloud data.
Apple Health
Only if you allow it, Fastbloom writes the water you log (and, if you choose, your weight) to Apple Health. Fastbloom does not read Health data. Health data never leaves your device, is never used for advertising, and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can revoke access at any time in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access.
Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck)
To know which features are used and whether the app crashes, Fastbloom sends anonymous events (for example “fast started”, “paywall shown”, app version, iOS version, device model, country) to TelemetryDeck GmbH, Berlin, Germany. TelemetryDeck receives no personal data: no identifiers that can be traced to you, no fast times, no weights, no notes. The user identifier is a one-way hash that is reset when you reinstall. Processing is on servers in the EU. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage statistics”.
Purchases (RevenueCat and Apple)
Fastbloom Plus is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card. To check whether Plus is active, the app sends an anonymous app-user ID, a device identifier (IDFV) and Apple’s purchase receipt to RevenueCat, Inc. (USA, under EU standard contractual clauses). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email or any health data. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your device. We do not use push notification servers.
This website
fastbloom.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., with EU data centres). It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare processes connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy. If you e-mail us, we keep the mail only to answer you.
What we do not do
No advertising, no ad SDKs, no tracking across apps (no ATT prompt because there is nothing to ask), no selling or sharing of data, no profiling, no e-mail marketing.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete — your data is on your phone. For the anonymous statistics, TelemetryDeck cannot link events to a person. You can still contact us at [email protected] about any question, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for Bavaria: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Ansbach).
Children
Fastbloom is intended for adults. It is rated 18+ on the App Store and asks you to confirm your age at first launch.
Changes
We will update this page and the effective date when anything changes. Material changes are announced in the app.
